The Story:

Sea of Color is one of the paintings made with the overflow paint from Not Crayons.  The effect was achieved by dipping the canvas board into the pooled paint drippings & carefully lifting it up.  The clouds formed because there wasn’t much paint left.  That caused the gaps and veining to occur.  I chose the name Sea of Color because this painting reminds me of water reflecting the setting sun.  This piece has been sealed with a matte acrylic varnish to protect it.

You can buy this piece without the frame if gold isn’t your thing.  That’s an option for all my work actually.  I will happily deduct the price of the frame from the purchase price of the piece.  If you were hoping the piece was larger than I recommend purchasing a print.  They come in a variety of sizes, all of which are much, much larger than the original.
