Bliss was made using polymer clay, beads, and acrylic paint on canvas board.

The Story:

Bliss was created for [email protected] 2011.  When I show my work at Artomatic events, I like to have my wall packed with work.  I created a bunch of polymer clay pieces for the show.  Each featured a curly design of polymer clay accented with beads and other embellishments.  The background is a canvas board with an abstract painting done in acrylic paint.  The polymer clay design was glued in the center.

The polymer clay designs were created before the canvas board was painted.  The board’s color scheme and design was created to compliment the clay.  For this piece, I dripped various colors of acrylic paint onto the canvas board.  I then gently brushed the paint vertically until I had a good mix of colorful stripes.  The entire piece was sealed and then framed.
